How much cannabis can I buy at once? What are the purchase limits?

In Montana, we have purchase limits that restrict a person to only buy limits of flower, concentrates, and edibles each day and month. The daily purchase limits are as follows:

• Up to 1 oz of cannabis flower a day. 
• Up to 5 oz of cannabis flower per month

Montana legislature’s HB 701 placed limits on potency for adult-use cannabis products. If you are not purchasing as a Montana medical marijuana patient, then edible adult-use cannabis products you can purchase may contain up to 10 mg of THC per serving, and up to 100 mg of THC in an entire package.

The total psychoactive THC of cannabis flower purchased for adult-use may not exceed 35%.

Topical products may contain no more than 6% THC and no more than 800 mg of THC per package.

An adult-use cannabis product sold as a capsule, transdermal patch or suppository, may contain no more than 100 mg of THC, and no more than 800 mg of THC in an entire package.
