How much cannabis can I have on me at any given time?

In Montana, you are legally allowed to possess up to 1 oz of cannabis on your person at any time and at your home or on your property you may possess up to 16 oz of cannabis. Please remember sale or distribution of any purchased cannabis to any other is illegal in Montana. 

Cannabis consumption and possession (including medical cannabis) do remain prohibited in public and certain other locations. It is also prohibited under federal law on all federal lands and waters.

In Montana, cannabis (except medical cannabis) is prohibited in hospitals and other health care facilities.

Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of cannabis remains illegal in Montana.
